ROCKMOLDS POUR MANUAL · LAVA STONE IN 5 STEPS

Stamp like
the pros.
Hana Hou!

Five steps. Four project types. Whether you're pouring a 1,200 sq-ft driveway or a single stepping stone, the sequence is the same — start with the fundamentals, then tap your project below.

The Fundamentals

The RockMolds five-step pour.

Master these five and every project below is a variation. Color, release, stomp, stain, seal.

01

Base color

Color the concrete — either through integral powder mixed into the truck, or by broadcasting and floating in colored hardener once the slab is placed.

02

Release

Spray liquid release across the slab, or dust powder release. The release stops the stamp from sticking and builds the secondary antiqued color in the texture's low spots.

03

Stomp

Press the stamp at the right window — firm enough that a fingerprint barely indents the concrete. Walk it, advance, repeat.

04

Stain

Once cured and the surface release is gently washed off, antique with the water-base stain to deepen the highs and shadows.

05

Seal

Two coats of sealer locks color, repels staining, and adds the wet-look sheen. Heal & Seal for flatwork, Stone Sealer for vertical.
