RockMolds.com is the source for authentic Hawaii Lava Stone concrete stamps — custom molded from real lava stones found on the islands of Hawaii. Our goal is to put these tools into the hands of contractors and homeowners alike, and to provide the knowledge, resources, and creative initiative to bring island texture to any project. We love to spread the Aloha.

From Maui to the world

RockMolds began in 2005 on Maui, Hawaii. It started with many days of scouring the island for the perfect tropical textures. After finding these textures and reproducing them in his shop, David Schwartz and his team utilized these tools for years in their Design/Build custom concrete and landscape projects across the islands. After numerous requests from other concrete and landscape contractors to buy his stamps, Schwartz decided to make his Hawaii Lava Stone product line available to the public.

The idea of putting his concrete stamps online stemmed from a desire to make these tools not only accessible to professionals, but also to homeowners — so they could ultimately benefit in their own home improvement projects. Today we craft, ship, and support every product ourselves. The textures are still Hawaiian. The standards are still hand-inspected, every single stamp, before it leaves our door.

Used around the world

Our Hawaii Lava Stone Textured tools have been used in countless professional and homeowner-based projects all over the world. Driveways, walkways, water features, fire features, stepping stones, and faux rock are all examples of projects utilizing our tropical textures. RockMolds.com concrete stamps have been used in hotels, theme parks, Hawaii state projects, zoos, aquariums, and even escape rooms.

What we make

Hawaii Lava Stone concrete stamps in 12-inch, 18-inch, 24-inch, and 36-inch sizes — both rigid and flexible (“floppy”) versions for flatwork, stepping stones, and vertical applications. Plus the full system around them: integral colors and stains, powder and liquid releases, sealers, and the specialty tools — stomps, tampers, edgers, textured trowels and rollers — that turn a slab into a finished pour.

Our promise

Every product is backed by a one-year warranty, and with normal use and storage we guarantee thousands of impressions per stamp. We personally inspect every order before it ships. And if you ever get stuck mid-pour — which happens — call us. We’ve poured this stuff. We can help.

Rock on — and Aloha.

The First Mold

Molded directly off the stone.

This is the original Braided Lava master mold — captured on a hillside in Maui in 2005. No CAD. No factory tooling. Just blue silicone, real volcanic rock, and a vision to share authentic Hawaii texture to concrete projects all over the islands, and mainland.

Every RockMolds stamp in the catalog today traces its lineage back to a mold just like this one.

David Schwartz.

After years of using his custom Hawaii Lava Stone stamps on Design/Build concrete and landscape projects across the islands, David started getting requests from other contractors who wanted the same tools.
